Peira RollerMill

The Peira RollerMill is a versatile 3-roll apparatus designed for grinding and micronizing small quantities of pharmaceutical substances.

Peira’s RollerMill is a simple but versatile apparatus on which you can put different size vials, tubes and flasks. The middle roll drives the system, and you can set the position of the three rolls to the most suitable position.

Milling in pharmaceutical development reduces particle size, ensures uniformity, improves formulation, enhances stability, and is versatile for various materials, thereby improving drug dissolution, bioavailability, and manufacturing efficiency.

The device is available in 4 standard configurations:

• Peira RollerMill 320mm with CE cover – for vials from 20ml until 2L
• Peira RollerMill 640mm with CE Cover – for vials from 20ml until 2L
• Peira RollerMill 320mm with CE cover – for vials from 10ml until 1L
• Peira RollerMill 640mm with CE cover – for vials from 10ml until 1L

1. Three-Roll System: It consists of three rolls, with the middle roll driving the system. The position of these rolls can be adjusted to suit different experimental needs.
2. Material Placement: Vials, tubes, or flasks containing the material to be ground are placed between the rolls.
3. Grinding Process: The middle roll rotates, driving the other two rolls. This movement grinds and micronizes the material between the rolls.
4. Speed Control: The speed of the drive roll can be adjusted up to 200 rpm, allowing precise control over the grinding process.
5. Compliance: The RollerMill complies with CE and EMC guidelines, ensuring mechanical and electrical safety.
