Content uniformity is required for most dosage forms including suspensions for oral, injectable and ophthalmic administration of drugs. If settling occurs, suspensions must be re-dispersed (by shaking). Until now there has been no apparatus which standardises the pre-handling re-dispersing instructions.
The “Peira HumanShaker” imitates the human shaking behaviour and provides a standardised method for the re-dispersion of pharmaceutical suspensions. The lateral movement has a radius of approximately 300 mm and the drive belt on which a universal holder is fixed can operate at frequencies up to 5 Hz.
The HumanShaker is designed and manufactured according to pharmaceutical GMP guidelines.
